Save on spices
When I got my first apartment all by myself, I didn't have that much money to be spending on tons of things. I got all of my spices from Dollar Tree. I expected them to be less quality then what is sold in regular grocery stores, but honestly they are about the same. Granted, you won't find all of the spices that you can in say, Bel Air, but you can get the basics which is great. To this day I still pick up a few spices from DT.
