Very Useful!
These batteries are excellent for items that need power constantly and need to be changed often, such as smoke detectors. I don't believe these last as long as some of the others on the market, but I seem to get an exact six months of use in my smoke detector, and that is how often these should be changed. With the price that Dollar Tree offers, this is an excellent and useful option.

Last surprisingly well
I have 2 devices and numerous detectors that use these. For a dollar, I didn't expect much, but I have been pleasantly surprised because they last just as long as the ones I paid a LOT more for.

I ONLY BUY MY BATTERIES FROM THE DOLLAR STORE, IT'S THE BEST VALUE AROUND. I USE THEM IN ALL MY SMOKE DETECTORS.

Smoke Detectors & Battery Back-Up for alarm clocks
These are the two primary uses for non-alkaline batteries. Pretty much everything else would be better served by using alkaline batteries. BUT.... for these applications an extra-heavy duty battery is best. And these batteries are as good as anything else at any price for the job, so why pay more??
