Perfect for my needs
I bought the red plastic mixing bowl to use as a garbage bowl. It's the perfect size for scraps from prepping vegetables for a pot of soup (or other uses),the light weight and convenient handle are just right for carrying my vegetable scraps to the compost pile, and it cleans up easily. In the event I don't get out to the compost pile for a few hours, the handle hooks it over a well-placed cabinet pull, getting it off the counter top, and a shower cap or large bowl cover fits over the bowl.
