Parts and batteries alone are worth it
This product works fine and I've purchased several. But key is that it comes with 3 batteries that sell for ~ $3 each at regular stores. Plus the magnetic piezo transducer is expensive on its own - easy to dismantle for parts!

A good deal, just for the batteries
I needed some button batteries and knew Dollar Tree carried some sizes in multi-pack cards. I was not able to find the battery size I needed but this item had them. I bought 2 of them just for the batteries. There are 3 in each alarm so I got 6 batteries for $2. After getting a card of the batteries I needed, I mounted one of these on my workshop door to alert me to anyone entering the shop while using power tools. Mounting it on the molding on the door, it did not align right so it alarmed when the door was closed. One would have to chisel out a piece of the molding if they wanted to use this on their door. On a flat surface it would work well. The need of a flat mounting surface is the reason for the 4 overall rating rather than a 5. If you have a flat surface to mount it on or just need the batteries, this is a no-brainer 5.

Love it!!!
This is a great inexpensive way to feel safe in your home. I put them on my doors and it helps me sleep better.

great product that works well
This door alarm is a great value. It works well to let me know if my kid goes in my office.. outstanding value and well made well working product. I would recommend this for any door.

window alarms
This is a great product.I use them for block watch safety item for the community they also work great for small kids letting you know when there into something there not to be in.

A product that really works!
This product really works! I purchased two Intrudalert alarms a few years ago, and they still work. What I really like about this product is that the alarm is very loud. I recently purchased a similar more expensive product from a different store, and it is not as loud as the Intrudalert. It is so loud, that you can hear it outside of your home. This product is a must have!

Piezo Transducer
Great Value!! The mechanics alone are sold for more!! Perfect for dismantling and attatching the piezo transducer to my input jack and creating a drum trigger for an electric drum set!

One of hundreds of great buys at Dollar Tree
This quality alarm sells for $7.98 up at a well known national "hardware" store.
And, shopping at my local Dollar Tree here in Mt Pleasant is always a pleasure because of the nice people there, especially LaVerne.
The Dollar Tree is probably the only store where I feel iike a king while I'm there and after I've left

Great Product, will by by the dozens...
Great product. I have a lot of people wanting to get them. So, I will buy them by bulk. Wonderful, when magnetic field is broken, it sounds an earpeircing alarm. I have a Professional Alarm, and these do acceptionally compared to a Professional System. But if you don't want to pay thousands for a Professional Security System, this is Wonderful! Would probably (not promised) scare away a would-be burgular!! Just don't tell people that it has an ON/OFF switch. Tell them if they ask, "Yes, I recently had an Alarm put in." Worth the price
For a dollar.. you can't ask for more.. I now need 5 more to install on all windows. The store near my home doesn't carry it anymore and I can't buy less than 60 online :(

excellent purchase
i have an alarm system for my home,bought these alarms to add to all of my windows for a total of 20.what an added sense of security.the alarm sound is identical to that on the professional installed on.
