Surpriced that it works great!
Some say that it doesn't work, maybe you're opening the cans wrong! My cousin broke mine doing just that (opening the can with the blade on the other side), that's when i went to the store and bought this one, IT WORKS! i've had it for at least 6 months and its still working :)

Only good in a pinch
Well you get what you pay for with this one. It broke on the third use,and use 1&2 were not fun.The turn lever is very flimsy, it is very hard to turn, and is not smooth or easy at all. It would do if you are on the road , and needed a cheap can-opener for one or two time use. Do not give this to kids or seniors,it is quite frustrating and uncomfortable. Also, do not think this will be a nice accompaniment to any kitchen, it's very poor quality. Something like a hand can-opener needs to unfortunately costs 10-20.00 at kohls etc.,but at least it lasts and kitchen-aide guarantees theirs.

Awesome
I bought this can opener because all my store-brand ones kept breaking. I've owned this one for over a year now and it works great! May buy one in case I need another. super product!

Waste of a Dollar
Total piece of garbage. Was able to open one can and then had to throw it away since it simply just doesn't work. Very upset how I can't get a refund either since DollarTree does not take returns. What a waste of a dollar.
STAY CLEAR AWAY!!!!

Can opener what???
This is perhaps the worst item I have ever purchased in my life! After 20 minutes of trying to open some olives i gave up and cut them open... Then I went out and paid $10 for a kitchen aid one and its the probably the best thing i have purchased all day! Seriously do not buy this!

Sometimes it works great and sometimes it stinks
Sometimes I can open a can No problem and other times it just will not grip the edge of a can and the handles many times get locked into place. I don't care too much because I paid a $1.00 otherwise i would have flung it against the wall by now.
When your toddler wants canned peaches you have to open it up fast lol

Better than the expensive one I replaced
I had a can opener I paid a good amount for. Well it stopped opening my cans or sometimes it would open only part of the can. Anyway, I trashed it. I was not purchasing the same can opener again. I made that mistake before and it ended with the same result. Money in the trash. This time I purchased this one. It is much better than the one I spent money on. I have been using it two months and it still works as good as the first time.
