Perfect for traveling
I took a package of these last year when we went to Costa Rica during the rainy season. Very compact and disposable at the end of the trip.

Needs sleeves!
I went on vacation to Florida. The weather report said that it was going to rain on the days I was planning on going to the Disney theme parks. I picked up these ponchos, thrilled at getting two for a dollar. Amazing. They're the same kind of lightweight plastic you might see in a garbage bag, which is okay for the price. The problem is that the ponchos fit close the body, with holes for your arms. There are no sleeves, so anything you might be wearing will be soaked. The ponchos are not very durable, so don't expect more than a couple uses out of them. If the poncho were a bit bigger, one could use it like a regular poncho, with arms inside - nice and dry. It did affect my day at the park, and I had to buy a rip-off poncho the next day so that I wouldn't have to walk around entirely soaked.
