Cheap glowsticks
We purchased these glow sticks for a choir program. Kids ages 8-13 were to be using them, but prior to the performace, the adults and bigger kids had to help "break" them so they would glow - they were VERY difficult for everyone to use. The glow sticks did glow for a long time afterwards though. I would only recommend purchasing if adults or older kids/teens were going to be able to assist making them glow. Children younger than 8 probably wouldn't be able to snap them.
