these are great for cearel
I keep cornflakes and puffed wheat and such in these and the container holds about a weeks worth. the seal keeps out pests, but is not air tight, which is why I gave it four stars. For the value it is worth a dollar. I used to used old coffee and creamer cans which were ok but I like to be able to see in the container.

good storage
really like these storage containers. however, the 2 qt size is too small for my needs. what happened to the gallon and 3 qt sizes? and the lids shown are not the lids on the ones I have. those rounded lids won't allow stacking, while the old, flat lids will let you stack the containers. They hold nuts, grains, cereal, salt, sugar, all the basics. one gallon canister holds 8 lbs of salt or whole wheat berries.

Canisters
We are using the canisters as resuable cantainers for school fund raisers. Collecting "milk jugs" for penny drives and fund raisers is a hassel and sets back the projects. We can now resuse the canisters for a variety of purposes.

Great value
I was organizing my pantry and I couldn't believe what some stores wanted to charge for containers! Thank goodness I was able to find these (and other great containers in different sizes) for all my dry goods. Now I see what I have and what I need and everything stays fresh!

Awesome Containers!
I have bought SOOO many of these in various sizes. They are awesome for storing pantry items bug-free! We've always had issues with moths getting into just about everything, edible or not, and these have solved that problem for us. They are truly sealed and let nothing in or out. We store cereals in them, baking staples, rice, etc. They have a little spot for placing a label, too. And now I saw they come in a translucent plastic, so you can sort of see a little of what's in them, which is great for the kids who are too young to read the labels I put on them. These are truly an awesome value for $1 each.

These are great
We recently had regular flip top containers and then ended up with Weevils. So I found the the 4, 3 & 2 qt. size containers at the DolllarTree. These are the best containers ever. No more Weevils, fresh food. I love these containers.

great for kids

Love these containers
I love these containers. I have several of them.I went to the store to buy more and they don't have them anymore.
I really want some of the larger ones too. I have 3 sizes. How do I get the store to order these? I can't buy a whole box from here.

Good for stockpiling
My husband and I bought a case of these to stockpile a bunch of rice and beans we purchased in bulk; these canisters come with airtight lids, and the handle makes for easy gripping. It's a good value for the price.

Let me count the ways...............
1. I love that these are MADE in the great USA!!!
2. They are food safe, microwave safe, freezer safe, and dishwasher safe!!!
3. There is a built in handle, and the measurements are listed on the side for your contents.
4. There is a little area on the side where you can place a label for the canister.
5. They are BPA free!!!
I like to use these for storing my flour and sugars. (I make a lot of prducts for my family like homemade bread, cookies and cakes, just to name a few, so I have a lot of flour and sugars that would be better stored in these containers. Now that I know how to make my own granola bars these will be great to store those in for our daughters.)
My only complaint is I wish I could find these in a larger size for when I find bargins on bags of flour and sugar. Like this past week I found bags of flour in the marked down bend for $0.50 each because the bags had a tear in them. These containers would have been great for storage for those had they been larger. I, however, still like them, and will purchase more.

I purchased this canister to store my parrots food. The lid is easy to screw on and take off. Very sturdy.
